Patna: 65 percent reservation amendment bill passed in Bihar assembly. It appears to have been passed by a unanimous voice vote. However, the bill proposes to increase the reservation from 50 percent to 65 percent. Including the EWS reservation, it will become 75 percent. BJP has also supported this bill. This step of CM Nitish Kumar is considered as a masterstroke before the Lok Sabha elections.
