Today, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Puja, the temple of Baba Akhandalamani at Aradi shrine became festive. Ritualistic worship was performed before Budha Ganesha, who is worshipped in the Mukti Mandap of Baba's temple, and in the evening 108 plates of offerings were presented. For this, the door-opening ritual of Baba was completed at 5 a.m., followed by Mangal Alati, Mahasnan, Gharsana Laga and other rituals, after which Baba was adorned in Digambara attire and the first Balya Bhoga was offered. Later, Budha Ganesha in the Mukti Mandap was adorned with sandalwood paste, flowers and new clothes, and after Ghatasthapana, Dwarapala Puja, Shodasha Upachara Puja and other rituals, 108 plates of offerings including malpua, laddus, manda, kakara and other delicacies prepared by the servitors were presented, followed by Homa Alati and other rituals. The temple administration and servitors had made all necessary arrangements so that devotees could have darshan and offer bhoga in an orderly manner. Senior temple priest Narayan Panda said that the worship of Baba Budha Ganesha has been continuing at the shrine for more than 300 years.
