Rayagada : A written complaint has been lodged at Kalyansinghpur police station regarding the breaking of the hand of a Bharat Mata statue at the main entrance of Shikarpai Panchayat headquarters in Kalyansinghpur block of Rayagada district. Shikarpai village is located on the main road from Rayagada to Kalyansinghpur. Villagers have installed a Bharat Mata statue at the main entrance of the village. Earlier too, some miscreants had damaged this statue. In connection with this, the villagers had also lodged a written complaint at the police station. Now, the villagers have again lodged a written complaint alleging that the hand of the said statue has been broken. Manoj Kumar Sethi, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Narsingh Kaushalya, and Bijayi Kumar Gaud have stated that a thorough investigation should be conducted, the culprits apprehended, and appropriate punishment given.
