Ganjam,12/01,(Utkal News7): "Buddhakhol Festival" organized by Buddhakhol Development Committee has been launched at the famous Shivpitha and tourist spot Buddkhol foothills. The event organized under the patronage of Development Committee President and Polsara MLA Shrikant Sahu was inaugurated by Berhampur MP Chandra Shekhar Sahu, while Berhampur MLA Vikram Kumar Panda was the chief guest, Sorda MLA Purnachandra Swain, Sanakhemundi MLA Nandini Devi, Berhampur Municipal Corporation Mayor Samamitra Dallei, Buguda were the guests of honour. Block Chairman K. Priyadharini Achari and Vice Chairman Manas Ranjan Pradhan, NAC Chairman Chitrasen Pradhan and Vice chairman Gitanjali Padhi, District Council Member Gangapani Jena, Members Chandini Naik and Samita Swain, Biranchipur Sarpanch Mandakini Sethi and Samiti Member Alka Nanda attended the historical Shiv Peetha Buddhakhol Aganith Shraddhaluth. And opined that it has become the center of tourist attraction and the heart of history and culture. On this occasion, Matriculation and +2nd block toppers of 5th class Vocational Examination-2023 Katie Medhabi were awarded with certificates. While the music of Shaswat Tripathi enthralled everyone on the opening day of the festival, Kansarala Dance Group, Kankuturu Shiva Kali Dhol Changu Group, Bugda B. Boy Dance Group, Ma Thakurani Bagh Bullav Dance Group, Bhobejiu Women's College Dance Group, Youth Dance Group, SK Dance Group , Bhamshalyi Jodi Shankh Team, Shovaniya Public School Students Dance Group and others enthralled the audience with their cultural performances. At the beginning of the opening ceremony, Suresh Chandra Das, editor of Buddhkhol Vibhagya Samiti gave the welcome, while at the end, co-editor Gangadhar Bisoyi gave the vote of thanks and Liza and Sakharva did the anchoring duties.
