Bhubaneswar,4/12: President Droupadi Murmu has called upon the students to do more research on Ayurvedic treatment methods which are not known to the public. Research can prove the scientific basis of any method.This evidence enhances public confidence and paves the way for trust acceptance, the President said. Addressing the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Gopabandhu Ayurveda College, Puri today, the President said that with more research, the ancient Ayurvedic system of medicine will be more accepted in the world. A system of treatment is also prevalent in tribal communities. He has some familiarity with these methods, the President said. All this medical knowledge is slowly disappearing. He called upon the students to explore the scientific basis of that system of medicine.Speaking on the occasion, he said that there are many palm leaves in the state museum. Apart from literature, the book also deals with medical science. The President also called for public awareness.
