Former MP Jayaram Pangi join Congress.


Bhubaneswar,2/12,(Utkal News7): Former Koraput MP Jayaram Pangi joined the Congress. He joined the party today in the presence of PCC president Sharat Patnaik at Congress Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. After shaking hands, Jairam Pangi said that he has joined this party to strengthen the Congress and oust the BJD government. In order to save the state, he urged the people of the state to oust the BJD in the upcoming elections. He said that he will not come home until we come to the Congress. He said that his father's soul will be happy today and he is ready to lead his friend forward. Jairam Pangi responded after joining the Congress that he will not allow tribal lands to be handed over until he is alive. Earlier, Jairam Pangi was in Telangana Chief Minister Kcr's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Before that he was in BJP, BJD and Janata Dal.He was elected to the Legislative Assembly 4 times and once to the Lok Sabha. Former Koraput MP Jairam Pangi started his political life by winning the Pattangi Assembly seat on the Janata Dal ticket in 1977. Then he was elected MLA in 1990 as a Janata Dal candidate. Later he won from Pattangi in 2000 and 2004 on BJD ticket. In 2009, he was nominated by BJD from Koraput parliamentary constituency. Later he was deprived of the party ticket. Later he came to BJP and a few days ago he left BJP and joined BRS.
