Tangi : Two persons, Santosh Kumar Palei (24) of Deipur and Tulupali (27) of Gadakharada, both from Puri district, were arrested by the forest department personnel for allegedly poaching wildlife in the Tangi forest area. The accused were caught with 13 dead grey-headed swamphens and one dead watercock. The forest department suspects that the birds were poisoned, and further investigation is underway. The accused will be produced in court, and the dead birds will be sent to the forensic laboratory for toxicology analysis.
