Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Chandrasekhar Vijay has ended the long-standing “towel culture” seen on VIP chairs in government offices.
An environmentalist had appealed to the Chief Minister regarding this issue on social media platform X. Within 24 hours of the appeal, Vijay quietly acted on the request. Without any official announcement or publicity about the step, he removed the traditional white towel from his chair.
