New Delhi: Today, the 80th Independence Day is being celebrated across the country. On Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi hoists the flag at the Red Fort and addresses the nation. Leaders of the government and opposition parties attend the celebrations. But today Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not attend, following which the BJP targeted him.Minister of Education Pralhad Joshi said, “Rahul Gandhi and Kharge should keep Independence Day and Republic Day above party politics.” When the Prime Minister gives a speech, he is the Prime Minister of the country. For the past few years, they have been boycotting this. This is happening because of Rahul Gandhi's immaturity. This is happening because of Rahul's arrogance. This is happening because of the arrogance of the fake Gandhi family. The opposition party should intervene they are perpetuating a wrong tradition.‘This ideology is dividing society’
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said on social media platform X, “Can any true patriotic leader representing the public do this?” Bhandari alleged that Rahul Gandhi's distance from the programme reflects his hatred for ‘Vande Mataram’. He said that Rahul Gandhi is unfit for the post of Leader of Opposition (LoP) and that his ideology is a divisive ideology.
