New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people of the country to conserve fuel in view of the West Asia crisis. Following the Prime Minister’s appeal, steps have been taken at the government level for fuel conservation and other cost-cutting measures. In this sequence, the Supreme Court has also taken steps to save fuel. According to a directive issued by Supreme Court Secretary General Bharat Parasar, during the summer vacation and other partial working days, judges will hear cases through virtual mode. The Supreme Court Registry has been asked to take the necessary steps for this. Some judges have even agreed to come to the office through car pooling. Similarly, 50% of the employees of various departments of the Registry will work from home two days a week.
