Tangi,1/9 : (Utkal Bureau):A legal awareness program was organized on Tuesday by the Shaktishree Cell at the premises of Durga Charan Chilika Degree College in Tangi, Khordha district. The program was organized under the chairmanship of the college principal Sushant Kumar Satapathy, with Tangi police station officer Sunil Kumar Murmu attending as the guest of honour and making the students extensively aware of the POCSO Act 2012, POSH Act 2013, and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Later, legal awareness pamphlets intended for women and female students were distributed by the Shaktishree Cell. The college principal made the students aware of anti-ragging and called upon the female students to protest fearlessly, while also highlighting its legal aspects. At the program, lecturer Sanjeev Kumar Parida delivered the welcome address, while Shaktishree coordinator Sanyukta Kumari Sahu conducted the program. Lecturers Sukanta Kumar Parida, Priya Ranjan Pattnaik, Bikram Prasad Rana, Sushil Kumar Mahapatra, Sumit Shobhan Pattajoshi, and lecturers Mita Das, Subhadra Baliarsingh, Sharmistha Dash, among others, were present. Staff members Pratyush Kumar Dalai and Prashant Kumar Nayak assisted.
